DESCRIPTION:Our Annual Weekend Tournament – the 44th one hosted by SAOGA. \n\nStroke round on Thursday 12th November (off the 1st tee at 1:00 pm);\nAmbrose round on Friday 13th November (shotgun start off various tees at 1:00 pm)\, followed by drinks & canapés at the Clare Country Club;\nStableford round on Saturday 14th November (off the 1st & 10th tees at 8:30 am)\, followed by sandwiches at the Golf Club and then dinner in the Function Room upstairs at the Clare Golf Club;\nStableford round on Sunday 15th November (shotgun start off various tees at 9:00 am)\, followed by lunch and prize-giving at the Clare Country Club\, then an informal BBQ get-together will take place in the evening for those who have chosen to stay for an extra night (this has become a very popular evening).\n\nNote that the Clare Country Club offer SAOGA members and guests some exceptional discounts on the accommodation for this event\, so it is recommended that you do not book any accommodation until you receive an email (with a discount code to use) from us. A significant number of rooms have already been blocked for our use so there’s no need to panic ! \nAlso\, carts will be provided by SAOGA\, the cost of these being included in the weekend entry fees\, so it will not be necessary to pre-book them through the Clare Golf Club. \nFor those who have not joined us at this event before\, the Clare Country Club is on White Hut Road\, Clare and the Clare Golf Club is at 3 Square Mile Road in Clare; despite the differing addresses\, these 2 properties are right next door to each other\, certainly within easy walking and/or golf cart driving distance of each other.

DESCRIPTION:Our final game of the year and\, for the 5th year\, teams of 2 will compete in a 4BBB format (best Stableford score posted by either team member on each hole) for the “SAOGA Summer Cup”. \nCommencing at 9:04am as a mini-shotgun start off the 1st\, 18th\, 17th\, 16th & 15th Tees (depending on numbers of players who sign up). \nThis links-style course\, rated in the Top-100 Golf Courses in Australia\, is located at 73 St Andrews Boulevard\, Normanville. \nThe usual swag of NTP prizes (as well as the winner’s trophy and prizes for the first 3 place-getters) will be presented in the clubhouse after the game. \nCarts will be pre-booked by us\, for those who request a cart on their entry forms (most players on this course). \nNote that\, apart from the Summer Cup being competed for\, this is a social game only – it does not count towards the annual SOAGA Club Championship results\, nor will any scores be submitted to Golf Australia after it – but there will still be some prizes awarded and it will be a good opportunity for people to catch up again after the Clare weekend in November. And it’s a great course to test out your skills on !
